eCatholic Release Notes provides a brief look at what we’re accomplishing for you through our product releases, upgrades, and internal workings. Our goal is to help you stay in-the-know while we strive to keep improving. Enjoy our August 2021 edition of Release Notes!
One of our most requested website features from eCatholic customers for some time has been the ability to publish changes to a webpage at a date and time scheduled for the future. We’re excited to share that the Schedule Publish feature has finally arrived!

Once you select the Schedule Publish option, you’ll be prompted to choose a future date and time, and voila! You’re page is ready to be published at your preferred date and time. No more waiting around or logging into your website on the weekend.
Once a page is scheduled for publication, you’ll have the ability to:

There's always something on the horizon! Keep an eye out for these new features.
Over the years, our design team has always kept a pulse on evolving website trends and design styles in order to bring you free themes that will beautifully showcase your content. You may have noticed that photos within the Button and Image Modules have received a new and intuitive way to be cropped and edited. We call it the standard Image Editing Tools.
Inspired by the photo cropping ability featured in the Headline Section, the standard Image Editing Tools allow you to crop and resize images directly within the Button and Image modules, so that modifying your images is quick and easy.

We’re always improving! Here are updates we've made to existing features and functionality.
Website speed and webpage load times are frequently affected by photo file sizes. In order to stay ahead of the curve and continue to ensure your website is ready to perform at the quickest speed available, our development team has decided to implement the use of the WebP image file format for all images on eCatholic websites.
This new photo format will help shrink image file size, without making any changes to image quality. And the result? Your website will still perform at the same quality, even as you add more images and information.
Don’t worry - this won’t affect the way you use or upload photos. Instead, your eCatholic website will work behind the scenes to automatically convert images to a WebP format after they are uploaded.
Here's a "behind-the-scenes" inside peek about eCatholic and our amazing team!
While eCatholic is a fully remote company, we do enjoy an annual Team Week each Summer, when our team members come together for fellowship and fun! The 2021 Team Week felt extra-special due to the cancelation of Team Week in 2020. After a long two years, our employees were finally able to connect in-person again after countless video meetings and emails.
A few highlights from our team week include:
