While the data stored inside each ChMS account is unique for every parish and diocese, the goal is the same around the world: simple church data management. From staying on top of growth and providing statistics, to building strong relationships with the Parishioner Relationship Management™ feature, ChMS was built to support your mission and ministry.
As we continue to listen to our ChMS users and learn about their needs, the eCatholic team identified an opportunity to improve the way that family data is visualized. After extensive product research and development, we're excited to share the newest update for ChMS: the Family Explorer.
The new Family Explorer provides a table-like view, showcasing your information through dynamic columns and a customizable layout. While no data within your ChMS account will be changed, this new format does allow you to find and filter data that was not previously available to you in the classic view.
The Family Explorer provides each user with the ability to customize and save their own layout, so go ahead, add some additional columns of information to create a view that is unique to your needs! Once you've created a cozy home for all of your important data, you can also take advantage of some one-click tools to download family information from specific queries or send a single email to a particular set of families.
In addition to releasing the new Family Explorer, we will also be retiring the classic view sometime in the coming months. But don't worry - you won't need to learn how to use this new technology overnight. The classic view will remain active for the time being, in case you'd like to slowly ease into using the new Family Explorer.
And remember - none of your data will be changed or edited in any way. So, dive right in! Create a custom view by adding columns and moving them around on your display! Build new queries using multiple filters and specifications! Develop a list of families and send an email to your parishioners without the need for one-time committees! We're excited to see what information you can uncover through this new way of examining your family data.
